9.5 x 7” Iron head w/ piercings including cross mounted on 26” wood haft profusely inlaid w/ engraved staghorn panels & dots, the back edge w/ a depiction of Christ on the Cross, a lower panel w/ crossed pick & hammer bearing the date 1681. Very old “Fenton & Sons” label on butt. CONDITION: very good overall, haft has dried & several inlays loose, one heart shaped plaque missing & several dots, iron patina to head, head is loose & shimmed w/ paper. (02-13484/JS). $1,500-2,000.
