Cal. 11x60R. S# 9615. Bbl. 31 1/2". All visible numbers match. Very nice example of Model 71/84 rifle w/ high degree of finish & crisp markings. Straight bolt handle. Receiver marked on left side "I.G.Mod71/84". Receiver dated 1888 on right side. Top bbl. flat has Imperial crown & "SPANDAU". Right bbl. flat German proofs, left flat marked crown "FW". Ladder rear sight graduated to 1,600m. Replacement blade front sight. Stacking rod is present. Walnut stock. Stock has imperial acceptance marks on right side & belly of buttstock. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked 11 7/8" fullered blade bayonet. Cross guard has curved quillon. Smooth walnut grips w/ steel scabbard. Bright bayonet has sm. spots of oxidation. Scabbard has arsenal rework type black finish. CONDITION: stock has very light wear w/ scattered sm. dents & handling marks. Bright receiver & bolt have sm. spots of peppery oxidation. Balance of metal retains 90% blue w/ light wear & scattered scratches. Notable area of fine pits on bbl. between lower & middle bands. Very good shiny bore. (01-17373/RW). ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
