Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 3063f. Bbl. 23 5/8". All visible numbers match except cleaning rod & front sight. Nice correct example of early 98K Mauser. Receiver marked on left rail "Mod. 98". Receiver ring marked on top "147" indicating mfg by JP Sauer & Sohn dated 1939. Markings include German Eagle proofs, Eagle "359" & 2 Eagle "37". Tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000m. Inverted V front sight. All milled furniture w/ flat buttplate. Laminated stock set. Buttstock marked on right side w/ Eagle / "H" & worn "WaA 37" marking. Steel takedown hole. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 10" fullered blade bayonet. Bayonet marked on left ricasso w/ "42asw" indicating mfg. at E.u.F Horster. Right ricasso marked "3045f". Composite grip panels & crisp Eagle markings. Steel scabbard w/ leather frog. Frog is marked on back "L.KRUMM-LANGHARDT OFFENBEH a. MAIN 1940". CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, dents & scratches commensurate w/ careful service. Metal retains 80% original finish w/ light wear, thinning & scratches. Very good shiny bore. (19-5811/RW).
