serial #208242, 22 S,L,LR, 23'' round tapered barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces of this 1947 manufactured rifle retain about 97-98% original blue with scattered spots of fine oxidation staining, light operational and high edge wear. The smooth straight grip walnut stock and 17-groove forend rate near excellent aside from a few minor handling marks and the checkered Winchester Repeating Arms hard rubber buttplate is excellent. The factory markings are intact and crisp and the rifle is sighted with a bead front and sporting-style rear sight. A handsome rifle that appears to function well mechanically.
