Sitting Bull, the great Hunkpapa chief, gave this shotgun to his 14 year old nephew, White Bull, to use in the Battle of Killdeer Mountain on July 28,1864. It was White Bull's first battle and he carried this shotgun until he bought a Spencer carbine in 1872. He then gave this shotgun to his brother One Bull.
