Original hair dryer used by "Claire Spencer", played by Michelle Pfeiffer in the Robert Zemeckis directed supernatural horror thriller film 'What Lies Beneath' (2000), which plot focuses on a woman who comes to suspect that the lakeside Vermont home she shares with her husband is haunted by a female ghost.
Starring Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer, with supporting performances from Diana Scarwid, Miranda Otto, James Remar, Joe Morton, and Amber Valletta.
This is a nonfunctional Conair 1875 Cord Keeper alternate hair dryer. Aged by production, with taped over brand names. Rigged to spark in a bathroom scene.
This prop comes from the collection of renowned special effects artist Tom "Brooklyn" Bellissimo. A letter of authenticity (copy) from Bellissimo is included.
