Western Gangas as feudatories of the Rashtrakutas, gold punch-marked Gadyana, repousse fabric (900-1000 AD), 3.79g, height: 30.84mm, width: 31.58mm. Obv: Nine punches struck deeply on a thin flan, 5x elephant standing in profile to right, 2x Kannada letters 'Shri', 1x Kannada legend Mara and 1x Kannada legend Pandya?.

Extremely fine, Very rare.

The attribution of these coins is uncertain, but judging by its similarity in fabric and style to the Kakatiya coins, it is plausible to attribute the type to Maraismha II Satyavakya (963-975 AD).
