DEMO LOT
(Disney, c. 1990's). A very rare prototype Disney chess set that only a few were made of. Of these prototypes, we know of one that sold previously in Heritage Auctions, where they note that they originally believed there had been only one of these prototypes but had since learned there were a few others. Like the other prototype sold in HA, this one was not created with a chess board, but otherwise is complete with a full set of intricate character chess pieces. The chess sets were originally scheduled to be released in a limited edition of 750. The work in creating a single set, however, was so labor intensive that only a few kits were ever completed and the limited edition series was abandoned. Produced by the Fine Art wing of Disney, "The Art of Disney", by Disney character artists Ralph Kent and Pete Emsile. The chess pieces are Western themed with Mickey Mouse squaring off against Peg-Leg Pete. Also including several other Disney favorite characters like Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Pluto and more. The set is in good condition with normal wear from age and minimal handling.

In House shipping is available for a fee. Cost of materials, labor, and transportation. We also work with third party shippers or can take items to a shipping store of your choice. Freight shipping is also an option. Please ask for a freight quote before bidding on items that require freight shipping. We will only ship to the address registered on your payment account. If you need something shipped to a different address then it is the buyers responsibility to update your payment info's address. For example, if you pay by paypal we will only ship to the address that is registered to that paypal account. Please contact us in advance if you need an item shipped to a separate address. Local pick up is an option as well. Must provide ID and sign off on item(s). If ID does not match the winning bidders information we will not release item(s).
