SWORD. Overall length: 36 3/4". Blade length: 31". Single fullered blade stamped at the ricasso, “ORIGINAL (squirrel) EICKHORN SOLINGEN”. Gilded brass hilt w/ lg. spread winged German eagle & Party symbol on the crossguard & languet. There is an oak leaf motif on the knuckle bow & back strap w/ another lg. German eagle & Party symbol at the pommel. Composite grip w/ combination wire wrap. There is a black & silver sword knot attached at the hilt. Black enameled metal scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows substantial original factory polish. Hilt has about 50% original gilding. Grip shows light wear. Sword knot has a repaired break & shows moderate wear. Scabbard has minor loss of finish, particularly near the drag. (02-15002/BF). $700-1,000.
