Overall length: 18 3/4". Blade length: 13 1/8". Blade is etched over 3/4" of its length w/ various wild animal scenes & foliate decoration. Blade is not maker marked. Plated crossguard has hooved ends w/ a downturned scallop shell guard. Plated pommel w/ acorn finial. Antler grip w/ WWII German Hunting Association insignia attached. Leather scabbard w/ plated throat & tip. Throat has an acorn frog stud & is serial numbered on the top “1543”. CONDITION: blade shows substantial original factory polish w/ some light scabbard wear. Hilt & scabbard show light wear & tarnish overall. Tip is a bit loose. (02-15174/BF). $400-700.
