Bright receiver marked on left rail in gothic Gew. 98. Receiver ring marked on top w/ imperial crown & "SPANDAU" "1916". Imperial proofs on right side of receiver ring. Bbl. marked on top w/ "S". Straight bolt handle. Lange rear sight graduated to 2000m. Inverted "V" front sight. Cleaning rod w/ dbl. slotted head is present. Bayonet bar is present. Upper band has parade hook. Walnut stock set. Buttstock has unmarked marking disk in right side. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: front sight protector w/ hinged muzzle cap. CONDITION: buttstock has had finish restored w/ good appearance & scattered, light handling marks w/ slight loss of wood in inletted areas. Metal has 80% original blue finish w/ thinning & light wear. Bore has strong lands, but slight frosted appearance. (21-1632/RW). CURIO. $1,000-1,600.
