SERIAL NUMBER: 1261331. BARREL: 18", CALIBER: .30 CARBINE. MANUFACTURED: 1943. Made in the first block assigned to Winchester. Barrel is "W" marked, with no date, but a Winchester proof is present. No import marks found. Mixed parts. Slide is Saginaw, bolt Underwood, trigger housing National Postal Meter. Hand guard is "RMC" marked. Stock and lug are "W" marked. Rack number on the heel of the receiver, "0051", which is also found on the right side of the butt stock. Blade front sight and late War adjustable rear. Arsenal re-applied parkerized finish. Oiled wood stock and forearm. International Silver 15 round blued steel magazine. Includes attached reproduction green canvas sling and oiler (missing top). CONDITION: Metal is very good overall, with general wear. Wood has handling marks, scrapes and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. C&R
