BE JOHN F. KENNEDY'S. This massive size 36 white metal 8 day chronometer is agent marked “BIGELOW KENNARD & CO. / BOSTON / 8 DAYS”. Watch engraved on back cover “PTBSQN8 / U.S. NAVY”. Inside cover engraved “J.F.K.” in block letter. Watch was in the collection of naval commander William R. Bricker (1923-2001). Bricker’s collection was exhibited at the National Watch & Clock Museum in Columbia, Pennsylvania 2001-2002. Bricker was president of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collector society of Military Horologists. He died at the age of 78 at their National Convention in New Orleans. Bricker owned several watches attributed to prominent individuals such as this watch, which he had a brass plaque made attached to custom case reading “THE KENNEDY PT BOAT WATCH”. Attribution cannot be qualified, but lot is being sold unreserved. CONDITION: watch appears very good & complete overall. It appears to work, but no guarantee as to overall mechanics.
