SERIAL NUMBER: 1864678. BARREL: 18". CALIBER: .30 CARBINE. MANUFACTURED: 1943. The receiver on this gun is part of the initial 50,000 that were sent from Irwin Pedersen to Saginaw for completion. Barrel is "BUFFALO ARMS/9-1943" marked, all over a flaming bomb. No import marks found. Bolt, slide and hammer are marked "S'G' ". Other small parts are Irwin Pedersen production, which is very plausible, as Irwin Pedersen sent a vast majority of their parts to Saginaw. Stock and hand guard are both marked "IR-IP", indicating Irwin Pedersen production. There is a crossed cannons cartouche on the left side, above a boxed "S'G' " cartouche. Standard blade front sight and flip up rear. Original phosphate finish on the metal components. Oiled wood stock and hand guard. Original green canvas sling (undated) and metal oiler. CONDITION: Metal is excellent overall, with light wear on the barrel. Wood has a few minor handling marks and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. C&R
