EUROPEAN MILITARIA. 1) A stunning group of 11 mostly French military medals that includes the Medaille Militaire. / Croix de Guerre 1914-1918. / Croix de Guerre Overseas. / Croix du Combattant. / Combattant Volontaire. / Medaille Coloniale including a brass bar that reads, “MORAC 1925-26” & 3 silver bars that read, “SAHARA”, “MORAC” & “TONKIN”. / WWI French Chobillon unofficial Victory Medal. / 1914-1918 Commemorative Medal. / Morac Medal w/ silver “MORAC” bar. / Kim-Tien Indo-China medal. / Spanish Peace of Morocco Medal 1925-1927. There is some old paperwork w/ this group that seems to indicate that the medals belonged to 1 French soldier named Gustave Focke of the French Foreign Legion. CONDITION: all medals seem to be in very good condition w/ their original ribbons & bars. 2) This group consists of 2 British 1914-1918 War Service medals, 1 having ribbon. / 1 British WWI Victory Medal. / 1 British WWI “hate belt” having a variety of buttons & insignia attached. / 1 Sm. bag of 14 British collar, hat & other insignia. / 1 German Fire Brigade pin. / 1 German lapel pin that reads, “EHRE DER ARBEIT”. / 1 French Napoleon the Third medal, no ribbon or ring. / 1 French pin that reads, “AUSTERLITZ 8e Regiment de’ Artillerie”. / 1 French school medal, no ribbon. / 1 French artillery button. CONDITION: most items show light wear. The leather on the “hate belt” is quite dry & stiff. (02-14451-2/BF). $700-1,000.
