Cal. 30-06. S# 188066. Bbl. 26", marked behind front sight "E flaming bomb 1-18". Ladder rear sight graduated to 1600 yds. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Bolt handle marked "W" & "NS". Cocking piece marked "EN". Bolt shroud marked "E". Front sight base marked "R". Receiver rail marked on left side w/ flaming bomb. Walnut stock set. Stock marked on left side over trigger guard w/ boxed "S SA A" indicating overhaul at San Antonio Arsenal. Stock also marked w/ boxed "P" under pistol grip. Green web sling. CONDITION: stock set has light wear, scattered scratches & sanding marks under finish indicating arsenal rework type finish, but retaining nice appearance. Sm. inletted repair under forend by lower band. Metal has correct dark blue black finish w/ light wear & scattered handling marks. Bolt has notable gray appearance. Bright shiny bore w/ lightly worn lands. (20-225/RW). CURIO. $500-800.
