Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# E669351. Bbl. 20 1/8". Solid frame. Receiver marked on top w/ "WP" proof. Marked on right side ahead of ejection port "US" w/ flaming bomb. Bbl. marked w/ "WP" proof on top & "CYL" on top left. Bbl. marking include "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN CONNECTICUT USA " w/ patent date & "12 GA.". According to "COMPLETE GUIDE TO COMBAT SHOTGUNS" by Canfield, "Stocks & barrels may not have martial markings". Unmarked reproduction bayonet lug w/ metal perforated handguard. Handguard has 6 rows of perforations & brass bead front sight. Unmarked walnut stock set w/ high comb. Hard rubber checkered Winchester buttplate. Factory installed swivel in butt. CONDITION: stock set has original finish w/ light wear, scratches & handling marks. Metal retains 80% original blue w/ wear, scattered scratches & sm. spots of peppery oxidation. Bbl. has noticeable line of thin finish approx. 1/8" behind handguard. Brass bead sight on bayonet lug appears to be incorrect style & what appears to be a casting line is visible on bayonet lug.
