Cal. 44 WCF. S# 816741. Bbl. 20" carbine style. Pinned blade front sight w/ adj. leaf carbine rear sight. Full length mag. Blue finished action has saddle ring on left side. Gumwood forearm & straight grip stock w/ steel carbine buttplate. Mfg. 1918. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube retain 80% lightly faded blue showing scattered spots of freckling & corrosion. Receiver retains blue in protected areas w/ balance fading to smooth brown patina. Stock & forearm show light wear w/ scattered scratches & handling marks. Stock has open grained check on right side of butt. Bore is generally bright w/ sound rifling showing scattered light pitting. (20-565/DS). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
