Cal. 40-82 WCF. S# 91036. Bbl. 26" oct. Graduated leaf rear sight w/ dovetail attached front sight having replacement brass blade. Full length mag. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. 1894. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube retain 40% dull faded blue showing marks & corrosion. Action has faded to mottled gray brown showing spots of corrosion. Left forearm cap screw is broken. Stock is slightly loose on action having replacement top & lower tang screws w/ open hole in top tang for sight attachment. Wood shows wear w/ heavy dents, scratches & gouges having spots of filler w/ a crack extending from right side of buttplate. Bore retains largely intact rifling showing scattered pitting. (01-17491/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,200.
