18 1/2" x 11 1/2” Mounted in 25" x 16 1/2" frame, this rare advertising broadside is nicely illustrated w/ a model 1866 rifle & carbine, text begins “This Splendid Weapon is a Great Improvement on the Celebrated “Henry Rifle”… for Indian, Bear or Buffalo Hunting, it is Unrivaled… The advantage that this gun possess over all others for single individuals travelling through a wild country, where there is reason to expect a sudden attack either from robbers or Indians, and not be overestimated… and fired in just half a second… which is something that no other rifle yet built is capable of doing.” CONDITION: not unframed but paper appears good to very good overall w/ light staining & foxing, there is about a 5" crack repair to paper through text but w/ loss of only 3 letters in first line of third paragraph, as can be seen in photos, this is a rare illustrated broadside that presents beautifully.
