Main Description: Manufactured 1882. This rifle is listed in Klancher's book on Page 185 (indicating belonged to North West Mounted Police). There is no visible NWMP marking on the butt stock. Blade front sight with ramp, adjustable u notched ladder rear sight, sliding dust cover, checkered spur hammer, retains saddle ring and stud. Two piece smooth wood stocks, forearm has a repair behind middle band, straight grip cracked behind receiver, smooth curved steel butt plate, toe of stock has a plugged hole, stock is marked behind lower tang APP51 (Alberta Provincial Police)
Wear: Metal finish turning brown with light pitting, rust speckles, scratches, handling marks and wear. Stocks show some marks, scratches and wear.
