Cal. 10 Ga. Blank. S# 672E. Bbl. 12" measuring 1 1/4" diameter at muzzle. Heavy cast iron carriage w/ 3 1/2" iron wheels. Sides of carriage marked "W.R.A Co. / TRADEMARK / MADE IN USA". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: wood box, end flaps marked "ONE BREECH LOADING CANNON". Sides of box are marked in red "Winchester / Trademark". Signed letter from Lt. Col. Brophy's daughter regarding this lot. CONDITION: exterior of bbl. & mounting yoke show overall pitting & largely illegible markings that are likely from salt water exposure. Bore shows spots of very heavy pitting. Breech block, firing mechanism, carriage & wheels have good restored black painted finish & do not exhibit the pitting found on the bbl. Box is in sound clean condition. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Lt. Col. William S. Brophy. (02-13243/DS). $600-900.
