Cal. 38-56 WCF. S# 96620. Bbl. 28" oct., 2" longer than standard. Sporting front sight w/ broken blade & elevator adj. rear sight. Full length mag. tube. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. 1895. CONDITION: metal has mottled gray appearance from touch up finish showing areas of very light pitting. Refinished wood has dark appearance showing scratches & marks. Forearm shows cracks & chips on both sides of bbl. channel close to & around forearm cap. Stock has 2 lg. cracks extending from toe. Bore has darkened appearance w/ worn rifling showing scattered pitting. (01-17073/DS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
