Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 9574i. Bbl. 24" rare, low production variation as most were 22". . Receiver marked on left side w/ "G.43 9574i ac44". Numbers match on receiver, bolt & bolt shroud. Firing pin carrier is unnumbered. Locking flaps are numbered "043". Bolt carrier does not having sliding dust cover. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1,200m. Blade front sight w/ single pin attachment. Bbl. made plain w/out threaded muzzle however retains Nazi proof marks under the hand guard. Cleaning rod is present. Provision for side sling. Cup type buttplate w/ trap. Laminated stock set. Buttstock marked on right side w/ eagle "359". Rifle equipped w/ ZF 4 scope & repro mt. Scope is marked on right side "ZF K 43 dow ", triangle & S# 49818. Scope has 3 post reticle & not fitted w/ rubber eye shields. Repro. scope mt. shows signs of file fitting. MAGS: 1 detachable 10 rd. mag. marked "aye eagle 145". CONDITION: buttstock has original finish & several lengthy surface scratches on right & left side of butt & on left side of forend. Sm. crack at right rear of receiver. Handguard appears to be professionally refinished replacement w/ added gloss finish. Receiver & bbl. have 80% grayish green phosphate finish. Trigger guard & bbl. band have worn original blue. Very good shiny bore. Optics appear cloudy. (20-833/RW). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
