Note: The India General Service Medal 1854 - 1895 was instituted after the Pegu campaign on 22nd December 1853, followed by a recommendation to include further bars for future campaigns and actions. Although called the "India General Service Medal", this medal covers a much wider geographical area, including Persia and Malaya.
