Main Description: Manufactured by Meriden Manufacturing Co, approx. 5000 built 1864 to 1865 only. This one marked Kentucky on left side used by Kentucky Home Guard. Blade front sight, adjustable u notched ladder rear sight, tapered round barrel which has slight play in it, checkered spur hammer that functions, smooth release button on left side of frame that allows barrel to turn and load a cartridge from the magazine tube on the left lower side of the receiver. Two piece smooth wood stocks, straight grip cracked behind upper tang, smooth steel butt plate, left side of stock marked W.B, two sling swivels and barrel band.
Wear: Metal finish turning brown with light rust speckles, scratches, handling marks and wear. Stock shows some marks, scratches and wear.
