Main Description: Blade front sight with cover, adjustable rear ladder peep sight, lock marked US Springfield with checkered spur hammer that functions. One piece smooth full military wood stock, straight grip with checkered steel added on hand rest, smooth steel butt plate with trap, right side of stock has OE First?, left side has E First INF and number 42, left side of wrist has partial inspectors initials and 1890 date. Two sling and one stacking swivel, ramrod bayonet.
Wear: Metal finish turning brown with light rust, pitting, handling marks and wear. Stock shows marks, scratches and wear.
