Main Description: Manufactured 1864. Blade front sight with ramp, missing rear sight, dovetail present, side lock with US Eagle and checkered spur hammer that functions. One piece smooth full military wood stock, forearm channel is chipped, straight grip, hole in left side of stock above trigger guard, smooth steel butt plate, tang marked US, right side of stock has initials ME, left side dated 1873, sling swivels with brown leather military sling, steel ramrod.
Wear: Metal finish turning brown with pitting, light rust, scratches, handling marks and wear. Stock shows marks, scratches and wear.
