Overall length: 16 5/8" Scabbard length: 18". Blade has a 5” etched panel that reads, “HOSPITAL CORPS U.S. ARMY”. Nickel plated brass crossguard & pommel cap. 1 Piece turned & grooved maple grip. Very scarce Type 1 black leather scabbard marked, “WATERVLIET ARSENAL”. CONDITION: blade has some original factory finish w/ tiny spots of light oxidation. Blade may have been lightly sharpened. Hilt shows light wear. Scabbard shows light to moderate overall wear w/ some crazing but no notable damage. (02-15018/BF). $350-500.
