Overall length: 36 3/4". Blade length: 31”. Single fullered blade w/ gold highlighted etching on a blued field. Etching includes various military & foliate motifs. Silvered brass hilt has an American eagle on the front languet. Plain crossguard & knuckle bow w/ an eagle head pommel. Wire wrapped, “certifiably antique ivory” grip. Silvered brass scabbard w/ hanging chains attached. CONDITION: blade retains 95% blue & gold decoration. Balance of the blade has a light gray, slightly mottled patina. Hilt is loose, but retains 50% of its original silver plate. Grip has a sm. chip at the inside of the pommel. Wire is complete. Scabbard plating is 25% intact. Scabbard body has a few shallow dents. Hanging chains show wear but are undamaged. (02-13459/BF). $500-800.
