PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 1050623. Bbl. 5". Mfg. 1943; 55,000 units for Army use. All features correct except coarse checkered arched mainspring housing & Type 4 Colt bbl. w/ "P" & "H" rather than Colt Type 6, SA Type 14 or High Standard Type 18. Keyes Fibre ringed grips w/ 2 horizontal file marks on each (kill notches?). Spring plug detent of thin rectangular shape. MAGS: 1 good 7 rd. appropriate Scovill w/ "S" on lip. Body has average rub marks but spine & bottom of base have stained in the white appearance. CONDITION: very good appearance w/ light function & high point wear having some spots of light oxidation. Good plus grips w/ light hand wear. Good to very good bore w/ light wear & hint of occasional frosting. (19-5975/NW). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
