Cal. 30-40 Krag. S# 259391. Bbl. 30". Model 1902 tangent rear sight graduated to 2000yds. w/ sliding peep. Replacement blade front sight. Non matching walnut stock set w/ replacement handguard. Forend has been replaced w/ joint under lower band. Forend now extends to 2 3/8" from muzzle. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original U.S. marked combination tool & copy of Krag disassembly instructions. CONDITION: stock has amateur gunsmith type refinish w/ slight loss of wood & rendering inspector's mark illegible. Stock has light wear, scattered scratches & handling marks. Notably thin finish on handguard. Forend has notably open inletting at wood line. Metal has turned overall gray w/ patina. Traces of blue in inletted areas & traces of fire blue on extractor. Good bore w/ lightly worn lands. (21-1656/RW). CURIO. $600-800.
