Original Canopic jar lid - artist maquette used in the pre-production of the action-adventure fantasy film 'The Mummy' (1999), written and directed by Stephen Sommers, where at an archaeological dig in the ancient city of Hamunaptra, an American serving in the French Foreign Legion accidentally awakens a mummy who begins to wreck havoc as he searches for the reincarnation of his long-lost love.
Starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, John Hannah, and Kevin J. O'Connor, with Arnold Vosloo in the titular role as the reanimated mummy.
