Original collection of concept art (x8 production used prints) from the production of the science fiction action films 'The Matrix Revolutions' (2003) & The Matrix Reloaded (2003), written and directed by the Wachowskis, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving and Jada Pinkett Smith.
The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions are the back-to-back shot sequels to the 1999 sci-fi classic, both released in 2003. Together, they expand the lore of the Matrix, chronicle the defense of Zion, and follow Neo’s journey as The One to end the war.
Phil Tippett and his team at Tippett Studio were instrumental in creating the complex machine world, the spiny Machine God, and the swarms of bug-like creatures.
This lot is part of the Phil Tippett Collection and will come with a co-signed COA by Phil Tippett.
Phil Tippett is the founder and namesake of Tippett Studio. His varied career in visual effects has spanned more than 30 years and includes two Academy Awards; and six nominations, one BAFTA award and four nominations, two Emmys and the advent of modern digital effects in motion pictures.
He is the inventor of the Stop-Motion technique called Go-Motion and even has a dinosaur species named after him: Elaphrosaurus philtippettorum.
