Target Modified Winchester Model 52C Bolt Action Rifle, with J.W. Fecker Scope, #95289C, .22 LR cal., unmarked 27.25'' stainless barrel; top of barrel with three (3) visible drilled and tapped holes, as well as a dovetailed scope blank near the muzzle. Receiver with blue finish; Winchester proofed on the left side, rear left side is drilled and tapped for a receiver sight. Adjustable replacement trigger utilized the original triggerguard with adjustment holes in the bottom. Smooth pistol-grip walnut target stock with cheekpiece, small 6-position accessory rail inlaid into the forend, adjustable aluminum buttplate with brown rubber Mershon pad; stock has no magazine provision therefore making this rifle a single shot. Rifle is fitted with a J.W. Fecker scope with original adjustable Fecker mounts; scope is numbered ''5851'' with a fine crosshair reticle, three-quarter inch tube, blue finish, threaded steel covers, and measures 25.75'' overall. Rifle is in very good overall condition as modified. Barrel with scattered cloudy spots of darkening to the metal. Receiver retains approx. 85% thinning and lightly toning blue finish. Bolt handle has worn to a mostly gun metal gray. Stock with intermittent moderate impressions and other small marks from handling and range use; overall a solid piece of wood with a nice even oil finish. Action is extremely smooth, safety does not work. Bore is excellent. Scope exterior with thinning and toning to the finish, optics are bright and clear. Est.: $600-$900. (Modern)
