Sultans of Jams of Sindh, Copper fulus of Nizam al-Din II (1461-1508 AD), no mint or date, G&G SJ1 (listed as RR), 7.66g. Obv: Arabic legend Jam Nizam al-Din. Rev: Arabic legend Jam Sadr al-Din partially visible.

Fine, Rare.

The Jams belonged to the Samma and Sumra clans of Rajputs, converted to Islam. They carried a dual Hindu-Muslim identity and also had Hindu names. Jam Nizam al-Din was also known as Jam Nanda. Their coins are very rare as only two rulers of the dynasty ever struck them.
