Sultans of Golkonda, Copper kasu struck most likely by a local polygar, (c.1600-1650 AD), unpublished in major sources including G&G, 7.83g. Obv: Frontal depiction of mythical double-headed eagle or Gandabherunda. Rev: Stylized Nagari legend Ku tu/bu Sha in two lines.

Good very fine, Very rare.

This unusual coin retains the local Vijayanagara conventions in matters of motif and legend but acknowledges the Qutb Shahi sultan. It is therefore likely that it was struck by a local feudatory ruler.
