Wonderful collection of original Visual Effects Reels used on the production of the Paul Verhoeven directed military science fiction action film 'Starship Troopers' (1997), where humans in a fascist, militaristic future wage war with giant alien bugs in a satire of modern world politics.

This lot also inclused a Phil Tippett Signed Toy.

This lot is part of the Phil Tippett Collection and will come with a co-signed COA by Phil Tippett.

Phil Tippett is the founder and namesake of Tippett Studio. His varied career in visual effects has spanned more than 30 years and includes two Academy Awards; and six nominations, one BAFTA award and four nominations, two Emmys and the advent of modern digital effects in motion pictures.

He is the inventor of the Stop-Motion technique called Go-Motion and even has a dinosaur species named after him: Elaphrosaurus philtippettorum.

Tippett Studio is a world-renowned visual effects and animation company founded in 1984 by legendary Oscar-winning stop-motion pioneer Phil Tippett and his wife, Jules Roman. Based in Berkeley, California, with a secondary office in Toronto, Canada, the studio is famous for bridging traditional stop-motion artistry with cutting-edge digital animation and computer-generated imagery (CGI). Over four decades, the facility has developed some of the most iconic creatures and visual effects sequences in cinematic history.
