Both the claw and the poster are both signed by Phil Tippett.
Original warrior bug claw used in the production of the Paul Verhoeven directed military science fiction action film 'Starship Troopers' (1997), where humans in a fascist, militaristic future wage war with giant alien bugs in a satire of modern world politics.
The poster was made by Phil Tippett studio as a recuitment to get crew mwmbwes to work on the film.
This lot is part of the Phil Tippett collection and will come with a co-signed COA by Phil Tippett.
Phil Tippett is the founder and namesake of Tippett Studio. His varied career in visual effects has spanned more than 30 years and includes two Academy Awards; and six nominations, one BAFTA award and four nominations, two Emmys and the advent of modern digital effects in motion pictures.
He is the inventor of the Stop-Motion technique called Go-Motion and even has a dinosaur species named after him: Elaphrosaurus philtippettorum.
