British Empire, The Imperial Service (1911-19), King George V, Silver, Star type, Awarded to "Walter W. Brightman", Obv: a royal cipher of King George V in the center surrounded by a multi-rayed 7 pointed star and surmounted by the imperial crown with ring and ribbon, the legend “FOR FAITHFVL SERVICE” around the cypher in the blue enamel, Rev: central finishing disc, engraved “WALTER W. BRIGHTMAN”, along with ribbon pin to wear, in Elkington & Co. LTD., London case of Issue, 46.3g, 56.6mm, (MYB. 2007 # 28), superb quality, almost uncirculated, Very Rare.
Note: This is an early issue from the period of 1912-1919. In 1920, the new medal was adopted as a small-round medal.
