Sitting Bull's name is found written in togia on this rifle along with messages. Just before Sitting Bull surrendered, it is believed he gave this Winchester to Catch the Bear. The two were very close, as Catch The Bear was Sitting Bull's personal body guard and they had fought in many battles together.
