Satavahanas, arsenical copper alloyed 'elephant' type coin of Kochhiputa Satakani from Nasik region (c.50-25 BC), PAIC 2605, 4.78g. Obv: elephant facing to right, wavy line below, a small vase and an 'Ujjain' symbol above its back; Brahmi legend Raño Kochhiputasa Siri? (Satakanisa) around. Rev: a tree with solid leaves and fruits in a criss-cross railing, in double circular border.

Extremely fine, Extremely rare.

The legend after 'Kochhiputasa' appears to have an unusual letter 'Va' in it. Possibly, it suggests the inclusion of the word 'Siva'.
