Satavahanas, alloyed copper coin of Naganika and Siri Satakani (c.100-50 BC), MCSI 141, PAIC 2656, 6.52g. Obv: Brahmi legend Nagamnikaya inscribed vertically on a pillar in railing; Brahmi legend Raño Siri Sa... to left, and traces of an 'Ujjain' symbol from an undertype. Rev: 'Ujjain' symbol with Swastikas in each orb and in each quadrant, within a rectangular border.

Nearly extremely fine, Extremely rare.

One of the most desirable Satavahana coin types, and the earliest indigenous type to be issued jointly in the name of a queen. Like some other coins of this type, this coin also appears to be counterstruck on another coin of Siri Satakani.
