RIFLE. Cal. 25 RF. S# G641. Bbl. 26" rnd. medium weight #4 properly drilled & tapped for scope blocks plus dovetailed bead at front; no provision for rear sight. Lyman 2A tang sight. Mfg. 1932-1940 as sporting version of Model 418 which in turn is takedown version of 417. Tapered semi beavertail forend & standard buttstock w/ grooved metal buttplate. Case colored frame & lever. CONDITION: good overall appearance w/ scattered peppery to light oxidation throughout. Light marks on stock set w/ slight gouge on left midpoint of forend; missing factory installed swivels. Replacement rear screw in lower tang. Very good bright bore. (20-1276/NW). CURIO. $450-600.
