Cal. 22 RF. S# 1741. Bbl. 3" oct. to rnd. w/ German silver semi circle front sight. Top flat marked "GEM". Nickel finished spur trigger action, bbl. rotates to right for loading. 2 Piece walnut bird's head grips w/ matching S# "1741" on inside on both panels. The GEM is the only pistol in the Stevens line that did not use the tip up action & did not bear the Stevens marking. Estimated quantity of 4,000 produced 1872-1890. CONDITION: 70% lightly faded blue showing sm. spots of light pitting. Frame shows 98% nickel showing sm. marks. Grips have original varnish showing spots of wear & handling marks. Dark pitted bore w/ partially visible rifling. Trigger spring appears broken not allowing hammer to hold at full cock. (01-17037/DS). ANTIQUE. $500-750.
