A pair of Romulan costumes from Star Trek. Romulans created an alternate reality when they waged war against the Federation after they were transported back in time. The lot includes long custom-made coats (one size double extra large, one approximate size large), shirt (approximate large), pants (one approximate extra large, one approximate size large), and two pairs of shoes (boots size U.S. 11, tabi shoes approximate size U.S. 9).The costumes were developed using a ragged top-stitched synthetic fabric with frayed edges to reflect the Romulans' work on a mining planet. The floor-length coats feature a wide collars and decorative stitching to create a patchwork of fabric. The interior are lined with cotton and show the Romulan insignia painted just below the back of the neck. Inside the black coat is a strip of tape with a hand-written annotation that reads "100pc Top #25". The shirt features similar top-stitched patchwork fabric that is stitched over a long-sleeved cotton shirt for comfort. The pants feature similar construction and include two rows of snap buttons on both sides of the waist for an adjustable fit. Also included are split-toe tabi shoes with hand-painted leather accents and a pair of leather boots with zippers on the sides. Also included are wardrobe tags with hand-written notes about the costume. Estimate: $1500 - 2000*Estimated sale price; sold without reserve.
