Cal. 30-40 Krag. S# 31032. Bbl. 22". Receiver dated 1896. Correct 1896 stock. Unmarked Model 1902 rear sight w/ sliding peep. Blade front sight. Walnut stock w/ sling bar & saddle ring on left side. Inspectors boxed marking is present but very faint. Encircled script "P" under grip. Correct 1896 type bbl. band. Handguard is not present. CONDITION: stock has pleasing original finish w/ wear, light staining, sm. flecks of white paint notable in toe area. Sm. crack behind receiver tang. Sm. chip of missing wood behind bolt handle seat. Metal has traces of original blue turning patina w/ very light scattered pitting. Bore is shiny but w/ worn lands. Buttplate trapdoor does not seat properly. (01-18794/RW). ANTIQUE. $600-900.
