Cal. 30-06. S# 984080. Bbl. 24" marked on right side "SA 11-42". Throat gauges 3.0 & muzzle gauges 2.5. All visible parts markings are "SA". Locking bar & battle range aperture rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Cross slot gas cyl. lock screw. Milled trigger guard. All visible markings are "SA". Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked on left side below receiver w/ faint boxed Defense acceptance stamp. Marked under pistol grip w/ encircled "P" & has vintage taped "184" rack # on end of pistol grip. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 9 3/4" fullered blade bayonet marked "U.F.H US flaming bomb 1942". Bayonet was cut down to this length for use w/ M1 Garand rifles. Grooved composite grips. Scabbard is not present. Bayonet retains little original finish has patina, dents & scratches. CONDITION: stock set has well worn original finish w/ moderate wear, dents & scratches throughout. Front handguard has extensive full length cracks on top left. Metal retains 75% of dark arsenal type reparkerizing w/ thinning & wear. Good shiny bore w/ lightly worn lands. (19-5829/RW).
