Cal. 45 ACP. S# 113754. Type II Springfield bbl. 5" properly marked w/ "S" on right side of lug & "P" on left plus "M" on rear of hood. All appropriate small parts "S" marked. All features are period & correct. Slide has proper tapered semi circular front sight w/ flat top U shaped fixed rear sight. Rear left side of slide has ordnance bomb w/ bullseye & cannonball inspection mark. Proper long beavertail rounded spur hammer. All sm. parts are believed to be proper. 2 Piece checkered walnut lg. diamond grips. Serial number indicates production period April 1914 to April 1917. MAGS: 5 total; 7 rd. detachable; 4 are Springfield Armory w/ case colored upper & niter blue lower body w/ sides that clip under the base; 1 is Colt production 2 tone w/ pin base. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Mills canvas mag. pouch dated Oct. 1918. 20 Rnd. box of 45 ACP ball ammo. from Frankford Arsenal, lot # 325; box is partially opened. CONDITION: retains 60% dull fading blue showing sm. dents & spots of very light pitting, markings have added white filler. Grips have dark worn appearance, checkering shows some chip & worn diamonds. Bore is dark w/ worn rifling. (20-1153/DS). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
