Cal. 30-06. S# 1277560. Bbl. 24" marked "SA / flaming bomb / "4-27" date. Standard 1903 front sight base & blade. Lyman 48C receiver sight. Muzzle shows no visible star gauge marking, bottom of bbl. beneath forearm has star gauge number " B / 873". Front receiver ring & bbl. have added scope blocks, "7 3/16" between centers". Bolt, extractor, & follower are polished & left bright. Original 2 stage military trigger. NRA style sporter stock w/ mag. cutoff recess, 2 recoil lugs & original swivel. Stock is held by the properly contoured band w/ swivel. LOP: shortened to 13 1/2" over aftermarket Pachmayr ventilated pad. CONDITION: bbl. & receiver retain 80% lightly faded original blue finish. Floorplate finish is fading to brown, trigger guard retains 80% lightly faded finish. Stock show evidence of refinishing w/ scattered handling marks & 2 epoxy filled dents along left side. Bbl. channel is relieved. Bore is bright w/ crisp rifling. (19-5475/DS). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
